Our current Deal of the Day features the Pond Keeper brand White Carbon Zeolite.  Zeolite is an effective filter media to protect against toxic ammonia.  Zeolite naturally absorbs ammonia, quickly removing it from the water.  The best thing about zeolite is that it is re-usable.  Simply soak in a salt water solution and the ammonia is released from the zeolite.  Rinse with clean water and re-place back into filter or under waterfall.  Zeolite can be recharged a couple of times before it is recommended that it be completely replaced with fresh product.
